D’origine sénégalo-capverdienne, Cyril a grandi bercé par de riches influences musicales, notamment les sonorités de la coladeira et du tabanka. 🎶

Danseur depuis son plus jeune âge, il a évolué à travers différents styles tels que le Semba, la Kizomba et leurs variantes modernes.

Depuis plus de 9 ans, Cyril partage sa passion et son expertise à travers ses cours réguliers et ses ateliers dans des festivals au Sénégal, au Maroc et maintenant au Canada 🇨🇦✨

We’re thrilled to introduce Cyril, a talented dancer and teacher with deep musical roots! 💃🏾🕺🏾

Of Senegalese and Cape Verdean origin, Cyril grew up surrounded by rich musical influences, including the rhythms of coladeira and tabanka. 🎶

Dancing from a young age, he has evolved through various styles such as Semba, Kizomba, and their modern variations.

For over 9 years, Cyril has been sharing his passion and expertise through regular classes and festival workshops in Senegal, Morocco, and now in Canada 🇨🇦✨

His classes are much more than steps — they’re an invitation to feel the music, move with authenticity, and connect through joy. 💫

Vii and Elvis are kizomba teachers who started teaching with Toca Kizomba in 2017. They come from different dance backgrounds like salsa and afro-Congo. People know them for their fun and energetic dance classes and parties. They learned kizomba from Lindsay Hutton, who was the creator of Toca Kizomba. In 2018, they took leadership for Toca Kizomba Ottawa, a dance school and place to hang out for people who love dancing. They are committed in growing the dance community in Ottawa and the cities around.

Deejay Angel

Born in Montreal and raised in Haïti, Deejay Angel embodies the perfect blend of culture, rhythm, and passion. Influenced by the rich sounds of Zouk, Kompa, R&B, and Hip-Hop, Angel’s sets are a vibrant journey through soulful beats and irresistible grooves that move every crowd.

His DJ journey began in 2011, when his natural musical talent was spotted by a local artist during a Kizomba class. Inspired, Angel took the leap — investing in his own equipment and mastering the art of mixing. It wasn’t long before his unique sound and energy captured the attention of the dance community.

From intimate socials to massive international festivals, Deejay Angel has rocked stages at some of the most celebrated events in the Kizomba and Afro-Latin scene, including Montreal Is Kizomba, Groove’n Kizomba, Kizo Love Festival, GYZO Festival, Kiztopia, ILKS Festival, and the Canada Salsa Bachata Kizomba Congress, among many others.

Mário Jordão

Champion d’Angola 2015 et Champion de France 2018 en Kizomba (FFD). Né dans la province de Lunda Sul en Angola, Mário découvre la danse en 2008 à Luanda et se forme dans différents styles, du classique à la salsa. Il commence à enseigner la Kizomba/Semba en 2010 et remporte le championnat d’Angola en 2015. Installé en Europe la même année, il devient professeur à Paris en 2016 et se fait connaître à l’international. En 2018, il remporte le championnat de France de Kizomba et, en 2021, ouvre son école Dikanza do Semba à Paris, pour promouvoir la culture angolaise à travers la danse.

Carla

Danseuse de Kizomba et Semba, née en France d’origine angolaise, Carla découvre la danse dès son plus jeune âge grâce à sa mère et à sa famille. Passionnée par le sport et l’enseignement, elle se forme progressivement lors de soirées et d’événements, avant de rencontrer en 2021 le champion Mário Jordão. Ensemble, ils créent l’école Dikanza do Semba à Paris, où ils enseignent la Kizomba et le Semba et participent à de nombreux événements pour promouvoir la culture angolaise en France et à l’international.
